so, i have the coolest office

The room ... is done! And I’m absolutely thrilled. Check this out:


for some reason, i want to take naps now. a lot of naps.

I splurged on some magnetic primer, too. Paint it on—a lot of it, as it turns out—and magnets stick to the walls! I’m experimenting with stronger magnets… these tend to fall right off. But for now, I love it:

the picture’s a little dark, but you get the idea.

Painting the closet… I just adore this color! My older sister helped me come up with it. She mixed a very light blue with a little yellow to make it sort of greeny… I think it’s genius. The whole time I was painting, I wanted to taste it.

And then… okay, not by any stretch is this room-related, but here is my Christmas pie. Pear-raspberry, and darn it, I slaved over that gorgeous lattice! Yum.
