reuniting

Are we really creeping up on August? Seriously? This summer is flying by. I can’t believe that it’s halfway over… I still feel like I just got home!

This is just a quick update… Things are crazy at the Langefeld homestead. We’re having a family reunion this weekend—my mom is the sixth of seven children, and so all my aunts and uncles and great aunts and great uncles and cousins and cousins’ wives and cousins’ kids and second cousins and their kids… they’re all coming to O’Fallon! Woo hoo! So that starts tomorrow night, but one of my uncles and one of his kids are due here any second. So this will be quick…

There’s not much to say anyway. I’ve done a lot of cleaning! And baking. I finally went through most of the boxes that I brought back from Calvin. (Am I super late on that? Please, someone tell me that they just pile up their school stuff too… and leave it that way until, say, mid-August…)

This will be a fun weekend. But after everyone goes home, I really really really need to get going on my honors thesis work. I have a growing list of possible sources, but I need to add a lot more. And I need to start determining what the format will be… Guaranteed, you will hear more about that later!—jl
