fa la la la la, la la la la
Happy Christmas Eve!
This month (and year!) is almost done. I can’t believe it.
My family has a wonderful habit of opening our presents and emptying our stockings on Christmas Eve, which means we only have a few hours left… My sisters and I act five years old when it comes to opening presents. (With this slight bit of maturity: we’re every bit as excited--if not more so--to see everyone else open what we bought for them. I found some amazing presents this year and I can’t wait to see my parents’ and sisters’ faces when they unwrap their gifts!!)
Everything gets more festive when my sisters come home. Last Monday, Mom, Dad, Adrienne, her boyfriend Jon, and I went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens to see the Chihuly exibit. It was beautiful!

snogginess
It’s a grey, rainy day here in O’Fallon. I’m fighting a cold, which feels appropriate. I usually caught one each semester, so I guess I’m right on schedule. (When I had a cold in England, a British friend asked if I was still feeling “snoggy,” and that’s now my favorite cold-related adjective. It says it all! And yes, I’m feeling terribly snoggy just now.)
Since my last post, I’ve been to Nebraska twice, and today I’m settling back into my room. I’m behind in pretty much everything, and in writing most of all!
