no lions, one lazy tiger, and a few bears: oh my!
... I think the lions were hiding from the 100 degree heat, not to mention the beautiful St. Louis humidity. Wow. That’s enough to make me want to run back to my wonderful Grand Rapids winters!
The penguin house was awesome: forty-five degrees!

Midway through July already! We’re getting those summer thunderstorms these last few days--Jane Eyre weather, I call it. You are especially fortunate on afternoons like that if you have a gothic novel you’re working through--or Poe. Poe would do.
