4 weeks!
So, we’ve reached what we call the “four week mark.” We’ve been working in the office full time for 4 weeks, and we have 4 weeks until the first Passport session! CRAZY! I think we’re all feeling a little extra pressure, but also lots of excitement. Personally, I can’t wait to meet the incoming freshmen. It’s always so refreshing to see a whole batch of new faces and to think about all the things new students will get involved in. Sooner than we can imagine, it will be you-- our new freshman class-- stepping into leadership positions and finding activities to flourish in. I guess that’s why I wanted so badly to be part of Orientation Board: I love the thought of being part of the freshman growing experience for students who will come out of four years at Calvin to be important, effective members of the Christian community, making the world a little more like the coming kingdom.
Okay, I got a little into it there. :) But really, I am looking forward to all the Passport sessions. I wish I had the capacity to personally get to know each and every one of you. Wouldn’t that be amazing: if human minds could remember that many names and faces?! Maybe in heaven. Until then, I’ll just say hi to everyone, but don’t get hurt feelings if I don’t remember you. :)
Alright, time to get back to work. There’s a lot of it. :) Blessings!
