By Eunji Kim at 3:48 PMLanguages are pretty awesome.
It’s also pretty awesome living with a floor full of talented multilingual people!!!
This past Saturday, the second lobby was turned into a “classroom” of sorts…
Tape was put down on the floors to section off the areas where people could go to learn different languages.
..Kind of like countries all over the world. Everyone got a “passport” where they could write down what they learned throughout the event.
Here are some of the languages that were available: Chinese, ASL, Romanian, Wolof, Korean, Turkish, German, Japanese, Spanish, French, Uzbek, Russian, Norwegian, and Dutch.
Ten common phrases were selected to be learned in the languages: Hi/ bye, I love you, where is the bathroom?, how much is this?, you are beautiful, counting, ETC.
Many random phrases were shared as well. :]
It was great to see everyone coming together to learn AND share more about theirselves.
Have a great week everyone!
