Sibling Weekend

My name is Amy Maffeo and I am the new Program Coordinator for Pathways to Possibilities. Every year, P2P students come and participate in Siblings Weekend here at Calvin. These students do not have actual siblings on campus so this is were YOU come in....
We are looking for people willing to host a 4th-6th grade student on Friday and Saturday of Siblings Weekend. This is the schedule:
Friday, February 23rd
· PICK-UP
3:30-4:30pm - Spoelhof Lobby
You need to be at registration in order to meet and pick-up your P2P student.
· DINNER: Your “sibling” would have a meal card so you would take him/her to the dining halls for dinner.
· ENTERTAINMENT: We will provide a Rangeela ticket for you and your P2P sibling so you could attend the show that evening. There are other Siblings Weekend events planned by Student Life for that evening as well.
· SLEEP: Your sibling will bring a sleeping bag to sleep on your floor or couch.
Saturday, February 24th
· BREAKFAST: In the dining hall.
· ART PARTY: 10am-Noon - There is a tie-dying and face painting party in the Art department.
· LUNCH: In the dining hall.
· DROP-OFF: 2pm - P2P students will be picked up by their parents in the Spoelhof Lobby.
The commitment runs from before dinner on Friday through after lunch on Saturday. The one stipulation is that you and your “sibling” have to stay on campus. You can not take them off campus.
This is a volunteer position; you will not be paid for hosting this student. We hope that you take this opportunity to have fun with a younger student participating in the events of Siblings Weekend and introduce them to college life.
