      <title>iTunes/Quicktime 7.5.5 &#45; Dec. 9</title>
      <link>http://www.calvin.edu/weblogs/maintenance/itunes&#45;quicktime&#45;755&#45;dec&#45;9/</link>
<description>Affected Software: iTunes and Quicktime versions 7.5.4 and earlier. Windows and Mac platforms.

Target Audience: Faculty &amp;amp; Staff computers. Smart Classrooms.

Apple has released a security update for iTunes and Quicktime (version 7.5.5). CIT will begin deploying these updates to campus workstations beginning Dec. 9.

Although iTunes and Quicktime are separate applications they work closely together and Apple generally bundles updates for these products together. CIT will push these updates as a single update to affected workstations. If possible this update will run silently, however, often that is not possible with iTunes and Quicktime. If that is the case there will be a prompt to the user to begin installation and a reboot may be required after the installation. CIT will provide more details on this as more information is available.

If you have questions or concerns please contact the HelpDesk at helpdesk@calvin.edu or x6&#45;8555.</description>
