Tired of all the spam emails you get? You may be surprised at how much spam is being blocked

Tired of all the spam emails you get every day? If we didn't have a spam firewall you would be getting a lot more.

On February 25, our spam firewall received 604,254 emails and blocked 567,902 as being spam, having viruses, a bad recipient or for some other reason. Only 36,352 were identified as good and sent through to our email boxes. 94% of all incoming email was blocked that one day. And that was a typical day!

Blocking spam continues to be a challenge for any institution. CIT is committed to continue researching new ways to block spam, and provide timely information to you about how you can help stem the tide of spam.
