Romanowksi related to the Simpsons

I have chosen to connect the Simpson’s with a few questions from Romanowski.  The first question to answer is the role of God.  God is evident throughout the show and comes up in almost every episode.

.  The Simpson’s attend church on Sunday and God is shown as being a large white male with a white beard.  Also God is shown through the Simpson’s neighbor, Ned Flanders, and his loyalty to the church.  Flanders and his son’s always bother the Simpson’s about doing the write thing and what God says is right and Homer becomes very upset in the show. Frequently God talks to Homer and tells him what he is doing is wrong, and depending on the situation Homer repents or he does not.
A second question answered through the show is the aspect of how humans are valued.  In the series of the Simpsons, human beings are portrayed as being evil and materialistic.  The show shows a lot of the bad that occurs in the world and focuses on trouble rather than that of the good and moral actions. Although the Simpson’s and the characters in the show are focusing on the evil things in life, there are also many positive and clean aspects that are covered as well.  Homer goes to the bar a lot and chokes Bart and does many things that would not be recommended in today’s society.  However Homer does work to support the family, he attends church and does many things around the city.  Homer has a variety of different children as well.  His actions have affected Bart more than anyone, but Maggie and Lisa are or what appears to be, the straight and narrow path. Throughout the show, humans I think are overall shown as dumb and self centered.  We are shown as being simple and easy to please and not taking anything to an extreme
