The Mississippi Review is one of the oldest and most popular online literary magazines. It was recently references in Writer’s Digest as the fifth most important and influential online publication. The online magazine is published quarterly. The Mississippi Review is operated by graduate students at The Center for Writers of The University of Southern Mississippi.
The Mississippi Review also manages an annual contest for book-length poetry manuscripts.
The Mississippi Review Online is one of the highly regarded literary magazines on the Internet. Its content is entirely distinct from the print version of the magazine. Each quarterly issue is broadly themed, for example, “Fiction” or “Nonfiction Nonpoetry.”
