The goal of The Louisville Review is “to import the best writing to local readers, to juxtapose the work of established writers with new writers, and to export the best local writers to a national readership.” Editors are professionals, and student editors are from Spalding University’s MFA in Writing program.
In 1996, as an anniversary celebration, the magazine launched Fleur-de-Lis Press, and has published 9 volumes to date.
The Louisville Review also published a special section of K-12 poetry and fiction each issue.
