IsReads began as a graduate school assignment, and has become a project of outdoor poetry. Poems are posted in places people would not normally expect to find them—bus stops, shopping carts, telephone poles, etc. The poems are also documented online at IsReads.com. Poems are hung in Baltimore and Nashville, and more cities are in the works. Poets & Writers says, “Typical contributions are experimental, sometimes playful fragments of quotidian existence.”
Analysis:
This is not a prestigious journal by any stretch of the imagination, and it probably won’t help you gain any recognition, but it’s a really neat idea.
