The Conference on Christianity and Literature Student Writing Contest
The Conference on Christianity and Literature Student Writing Contest is “an annual student writing contest of essays, poems, and stories that address matters of Christian thought, experience, and practice.” Winners are selected through blind judging, and winners of the 2009 contest received a selection of books from WordFarm publishing and a year’s subscription to Image and Christianity and Literature. In 2006, Calvin alumnus Jennifer Langefeld (‘06) was awarded first place in the fiction category.
The focus is on Christian thought, experience and practice.
Prizes are awarded to first, second, and third place in each category:
—A generous selection of books
—A one-year subscription to Image
—A one-year membership to the Conference on Christianity and Literature.

Winners are given the option of having their work published on the website. Included with the work online are citations from the judges explaining why the work won.
