Welcome to the Calvin Theater Company blog site.

In preparation of our 75 anniversary of theatre at Calvin College during the 2008-09 academic year, we are preparing a season of delights: special performances, conferences, lectures, a book about the history of Calvin theatre in honor of theatre program founder Ervina Boevé, and much more.

The CAS department has created this site to augment the theatre archives and contribute to department publications, and promotions regarding Calvin Theatre. Send us anecdotes, reviews, memories, and even memorabilia (programs, posters, photos, etc) of your theatre experiences at Calvin College. You can mail in hard copies to:

Do you have photos you'd like to share with us?
JUST REMEMBER: When scanning on your home computer, scan photos at no less than 300dpi resolution and save as a JPG photo file and then transfer to CD and mail to the address above. Scan everything in color, even the black and white photos or newspaper articles. Just remember there is always a risk of loss or damage in mailing if you don't have duplicates.

If you have many, many photos, you can take them to a photo lab in your favorite store and have them scan the photos and create a CD of them. Then simply mail in the CD and we'll do the rest. IMPORTANT: If you can please identify each photo, by year, show, and persons shown in image, if you know who they are.
