Clickers: Engaging students using the “clickers”
Come learn how to use the “clickers.” The clickers are a wireless polling system that offer rich feedback for any class. With this powerful system you can ask multiple choice and numeric questions in classes of any size, as well as measure comprehension, gather opinions and take attendance. Results can even be uploaded to your KnightVision gradebook! Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- create a variety of assessments and lessons in CPS
- register a KV course with eInstruction
- upload grades into the KV grade book

Creating digital learning objects
This workshop is designed teach participants how to create new digital learning materials as well as to convert current learning materials into a digital format.
Registration limited to 6 participants
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- create a dynamic sign-up sheet in which students can sign-up for research topics, groups, equipment, appointments, presentation dates, etc...
- use the KV Content system to deliver course materials and templates, or to provide students with common work space areas
- save documents, audio & video files to the KV content system and link to them from your KV course
- scan images and scan a document that can be edited or changed
- save a MS Word document as a PDF or create a PDF using your department’s new MFP (Multi-function printer)
- upload a podcast to your KV course
- create a learning unit for your KV course

GroupWise: Fundamentals (Windows)
Learn more about Groupwise to increase your productivity (...or decrease your frustration). Upon completion participants will know how to:
- navigate and customize the Groupwise environment and interface
- create a signature and a vacation message
- create and send an email message
- create, manage and organize folders and tabs
- apply categories or personalize emails for organizational purposes
- manage sent items

Groupwise: Calendaring and collaboration (Windows)
Learn even more about Groupwise to increase your productivity (...or decrease your frustration). Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- add contacts and create groups to the address book
- perform a busy search
- send, receive, accept and decline appointments and tasks
- add tasks, notes and appointments to a calendar
- create and access multiple calendars
- grant permissions and receive proxy access to mailboxes, calendars, etc...

Creating web pages using the Calvin Template: Part I
This class focuses on the basics for using Adobe Dreamweaver to create and edit web pages using the Calvin template. Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:
- define a web site
- add multiple pages to a web site
- format text
- add hyperlinks
- insert images
- edit images using Fireworks

Understanding your web site traffic using ClickTracks
Learn the basics of using ClickTracks, Calvin’s web analytics tool, to evaluate traffic on your web site. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- measure basic site traffic
- identify which search engines and terms drive traffic to your site
- see which links on your pages are most popular
- find out if search engines are indexing your entire site
- tag paper or email communications for future tracking via ClickTracks

This session is designed for those who have completed Creating web pages using the Calvin Template: Part I. Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to:
- create feedback forms
- include multimedia on web pages
- utilize anchors and other navigational tools
- create links using image mapping
- create a photo album
Prerequisite: Creating web pages using the Calvin Template Part I
