Distinctively Christian

The Center intertwines its activities and perspectives on executive management with the Christian faith. It aspires to enhance the Christian spiritual formation of participants as well their visions for Christian schooling. Managerial ideas and practice have faith-based assumptions; and the Center is committed to Christian approaches to executive leadership.

Big Tent

It has been said that “when Christ returns it will be for his church, not churches.” The Center serves Christian schools from many traditions of historic Christian faith. Individuals and organizations from different traditions, through authentic comparison and contrast, learn from and give to the others. In the process school heads deepen their own understanding about the nature of Christian schooling and their leadership of it.

Excellent

This Center achieves excellence in instruction and continuing support for Christian school heads by building on past efforts, providing tools for tailored management of the future and using a variety of pedagogies appropriate for the education of professional adults.

Diverse

The Center is diverse by design. While distinctly Christian, it honors those from a variety of cultural, denominational, curricular, theological and pedagogical networks.

Collaborative

The Center partners with organizations that are committed to the future of Christian schools. It works in close communication with a variety of school associations that enhance and support faith-based schools.

Applied

The Center’s programs tangibly and practically strengthen executive managers of Christian schools. Executive leaders must implement ideas and skills in specific contexts. The Center is committed to on-the-ground applicability.
