Get in the game

Many schools tout an equal commitment to both education and sport, but Calvin truly lives it out. If you’re a member of one of our 21 varsity sports teams, you’ll be challenged to perform well on the court and in the classroom, all while growing your faith alongside your teammates. The opportunity to excel doesn’t stop with varsity sports: Calvin has enough recreational and intramural teams to ensure you’ll have a chance to get in the game. And even if you don’t play, be sure to wear maroon and gold to represent Knight Nation, especially on game day! Go Knights!

In Their Own Words
I think anybody that knows [Calvin volleyball] knows that we kind of look at the winning as the extra icing on the cake, and it’s the inner workings of our team that really make our program special.” Amber Warners, Faculty

Intramurals and club sports

Calvin’s intramural program is one of the most popular ways to get involved on campus. Club sports offer competitive athletic opportunities outside the NCAA.
