Saturday March 14, 10am-2pm at Woodlawn Ministry Center

Take a breather! Come away for a morning with other Calvin women to think and learn about women's health, sexuality and relationships. Breathe in the fullness of being a daughter of the King, the fullness of safe, healthy relationships and the fullness of holy, embodied sexuality.

  • Opening Plenary: A Breath of Fresh Air
    Dr. Mary Hulst and the worship team will start our day with reflections on reclaiming our identity as women in Christ.
  • Closing Plenary: The Breath of Life
    Together with Dr. Cherith Nordling we will celebrate the beauty of being whole, embodied women. She will send us out with a clearer sense of what it means to be a daughter of the King.
  • Choose from workshops on:
    • Avoiding abusive relationships
    • Self-defense for women
    • Single and loving it
    • Ask an OBGYN
  • Lunch and snacks are included

SESSION A: An Air of Confidence
Learn some great self-defense strategies with instructor Nancy Van Noord.

SESSION B: Sigh of Relief
A women’s health professional will ease your mind about what happens on a visit to the gynecologist and take your questions on any women’s health topic.

Enter your question for the women's health professional to answer during your session. All questions are annoymous.

SESSION C: Don’t Hold Your Breath
Learn how to thrive no matter what your relationship status is currently. Hear one woman’s story about
finding fulfillment in singleness.

SESSION D: “How Can I Breathe With No Air?”
How much breathing room should there be in a relationship? Sarah Ten Broek of the Broene Counseling Center and Safe Haven Ministries will lead us in thinking about healthy and unhealthy romantic relationships.
