DAYTONA BEACH, FL—The Calvin women’s basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 71-35 victory over Clark College of Massachusetts Monday morning in the Land Of Magic Classic. Calvin College freshman Rebecca Kamp has added one more accomplishment to her list of post-season accomplishments. A native of Orland Park, Illinois, Kamp has finished as the NCAA III leader in kills-per-set with an average of 4.87 kills-per-set.

Two members of the MIAA champion Calvin men’s soccer team have received Great Lakes All-Region honors as named by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Calvin junior Greg Snapper has been named to the to the Great Lakes All-Region second team while Calvin sophomore Scott Hooker has been named to the third team.

The Saints took advantage of hot three-point shooting in the first half and relied on its stalwart center in the second, cinching a double-digit win over the Knights at Aquinas Fieldhouse for the second straight season.
Pedja Lazic scored 13 of his game-high 21 points after halftime, Jordan Torres broke loose against Calvin for five 3s and 18 points, and the Saints cruised to a 78-65 win.

Deur Posts NCAA III Conditional Qualifying Marks at Grand Valley State Diving Invitational

ALLENDALE—Calvin’s contingent of divers had a strong outing on Saturday at the Grand Valley State Diving Invitational. In the women’s competition, senior Erica Deur (Holland/Holland Christian HS) won both the one and three-meter boards with NCAA III conditional qualifying marks. Deur won the one-meter board with a score of 443.7 points and the three-meter board with a score of 472.25 points.
Swim Teams Post Top 10 Finishes at EMU Invitational

YPSILANTI—Despite competing in only the second day of competition at the Eastern Michigan Invitational, the Calvin men’s and women’s swim teams posted top 10 finishes on Saturday with the Calvin women finishing sixth with 135.5 points while the Calvin men took fifth with 152 points.
