Collegeswimming.com has released its first Division III Top 25 poll of the year and the Calvin women’s swimming and diving team is ranked fifth. Under the direction of head coach Dan Gelderloos, the Knights are currently 2-1 in dual meet competition. Meanwhile the Calvin men’s swimming and diving team which is 1-2 in dual meet competition is receiving votes in the men’s poll but is not in the top 25. The MIAA includes three men’s teams in the top 25 with Kalamazoo ranked fifth, Hope 18th and Olivet 22nd.

Both Calvin teams return to action on Saturday when they host Division II Wayne State University at the Venema Aquatic Center at 1:00 p.m. A year ago, both Wayne State teams earned national runner-up finishes at the NCAA II Championships.
