Women’s Soccer Shut Out by Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, IL – Calvin dipped to 0-2 on the season with a 4-0 loss at Illinois Wesleyan University Saturday night. The host Titans scored just four minutes into the contest to take a 1-0 halftime lead. Illinois Wesleyan then scored a pair of goals early in the second half and added one more in the final minute-and-a-half to complete the shutout win.
Illinois Wesleyan outshot Calvin 24-2in the match that was delayed by 30 minutes because of lightning in the area.
Calvin will travel to Wheaton (IL) on September 7 for a non-conference match.
