Women’s Soccer Headed to Loras for NCAA III Tournament

The Calvin College women’s soccer team will travel to Loras (Iowa) for an NCAA III Tournament first round game with Aurora (Ill.).  Aurora comes into the game with a 19-1-1 record.  The other matchup will feature host Loras (17-4) against St. Scholastica of Minnesota (17-4-1).

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for college students and senior citizens.  Calvin will face Aurora at 7:30 p.m. CST with the first game being played at 5:00 p.m. CST.

Calvin (15-4-1) is making its ninth appearance in the NCAA III Tournament under head coach Mark Recker and ninth overall.  The Knights are 7-3-5 all-time in the NCAA III Tournament and have advanced to the national quarterfinals twice in school history (2006 and 2009).

The Knights won the MIAA regular season title this year finishing 12-3-1 in league play.
