Women’s Golf Ties For Third Place at Hope Invitational

HOLLAND, Mich – The Calvin women’s golf team tied for third place at the Hope Invitational Thursday afternoon at the Ravines Golf Club with a team score of 356 strokes. Calvin tied host Hope for third place with Olivet winning with a score of 332 while Aquinas was second (352). Rochester College placed fifth with a score of 410 strokes.
Calvin’s top individual was sophomore Carlia Canto with a round of 82 while junior Elise Doezema had an 89 and junior Rachel Whitaker a 92. Freshman Jaclyn Richert had a 93 and freshman Laura Richert a 101.
Calvin is back in action on April 17 when it competes at the first 18-hole MIAA Tournament round. Hope College will serve as host that afternoon.
