The Calvin women’s basketball team has gained an at-large bid to the NCAA III Tournament. The Knights (24-4) will journey to DePere, Wisconsin, to face host St. Norbert (22-3) in a first round game Friday night at 7:30 p.m. (CST). Calvin will be part of a four-team regional field at St. Norbert with UW-Stevens Point (21-6) set to take on Minnesota-Morris (19-7) in Friday’s other first round game at 5 p.m. (CST).

Friday’s winners will play in the regional final Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (CST)

Calvin will be making its 12th trip to the NCAA III Tournament, its fourth under head coach John Ross and its first since the 2006-07 season. DePere, Wisconsin, is just over an hour away from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, hometown of John Ross. Ross is a 1990 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Calvin is 14-11 all-time in NCAA III Tournament play and has reached the national quarterfinals twice (2005 and 2007) - both under the leadership of John Ross. Calvin is 6-3 in NCAA III Tournament play under Ross.

Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for students, senior citizens and children.
