Volleyball Rolls to Win at Saint Mary’s - Hits 20-Win Plateau

NOTRE DAME, IN - Calvin rolled to a 25-15, 25-17, 25-12 conference victory at Saint Mary’s Wednesday night in a match that lasted just 51 minutes. With the win, Calvin improved to 20-3 overall and to 11-1 in the MIAA. The Knights have now reached the 20-win plateau 16 consecutive years including all nine years under current head coach Amber Warners.

Sophomore Lizzie Kamp (Orland Park, IL/Chicago Christian HS) collected 11 kills and three block assists while junior Rebecca Kamp (Orland Park, IL/Chicago christian HS) had 10 kills, six block assists and one block solo. Junior Renee DeHaan (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) had eight kills and five block assists. Freshman Megan Rietema (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) had 30 assists. Senior Kayle Hollenbeck (Hudsonville/Hudsonville HS) added three kills and five block assists. Junior Kelly Peterson (Ramsey, MN/Anoka HS) had nine digs and a pair of service aces.

Calvin returns to action on Friday when it travels to Albion for a 6:30 p.m. match.
