For the third consecutive year, the Calvin women’s volleyball team has received the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. The award is given to all collegiate institutions that post a cumulative team grade point average of 3.30 or above.

The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

During the year, Calvin had two individuals named Capital One Academic All-Americans as senior Rebecca Kamp and junior Lizzie Kamp were both so honored.

Under the direction of head coach Amber Warners, Calvin also had a big year on the volleyball court as the Knights were ranked number-one throughout the regular season and finished the year with an overall record of 33-1.
