The Knights second match against the top ranked Bears of Washington University in St. Louis proved to be an epic one. Calvin fell in five sets by scores of 22-25, 26-24, 22-25, 25-15, 18-16.

The Knights fought off three match points, but could not fight off a fourth.
“In the first matchup, I liked the way we came out,” head coach Amber Warners said. “We need to maintain this level of consistency throughout the whole match.”
The Knights did just that in the second match, hanging with the top ranked team in the country till the end.
“I’m proud of the courage and the fight we showed, Warners said. “I’m sad with the loss, but we are a better team tonight than we were this morning.”
Calvin returns to action tomorrow when they face Wittenberg and Heidelberg.
