Volleyball Picks Up Victory at Adrian

ADRIAN - The nationally-ranked Calvin volleyball team picked up a 26-24, 25-5, 25-22 victory at Adrian Tuesday night to improve to 9-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
Ranked 10th in the most recent AVCA Division III Top 25 poll released Tuesday afternoon, the Knights hit .310 as a team and were paced by sophomore Rebecca Kamp (Orland Park, IL/Chicago Christian HS) who had 16 kills, a .433 attack percentage and three block assists.
Sophomore Renee DeHaan (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) had eight kills and three block assists. Sophomore Erin VanderPlas (Cadillac/McBain Christian HS) had seven kills and two block assists while freshman Lizzie Kamp (Orland Park, IL/Chicago Christian HS) had seven kills.
Senior setter Nora Bruskewitz (Milwaukee, WI/Milwaukee Lutheran HS) had 38 assists, five digs and two block assists. In the back row, senior Kelsey Sears (Traverse City/Traverse City West HS) had 11 digs and sophomore Kelly Peterson (Ramsey, MN/Anoka HS) 10 digs.
Calvin returns to action on Friday when it hosts Alma at 6:30 p.m. at the Van Noord Arena.
