Rebecca Kamp Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Volleyball Team

Calvin College sophomore Rebecca Kamp has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV first team in women’s volleyball in the college division. As a member of the all-district first team, Kamp advances to the national ballot and is eligible for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America consideration.

The college division includes NCAA II and III schools as well as NAIA institutions. The ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America program is organized and voted on by the College Sports Information Director’s Association (CoSIDA) of America.

Kamp carries a 3.83 grade point average while majoring in special education and minoring in mathematics. On the court, Kamp is averaging 4.14 kills and 1.22 blocks-per-set along with a hitting percentage of .345. She is also averaging 2.06 digs-per-set and has 50 service aces on the season. Kamp is currently ranked 18th nationally in kills, 17th in blocks and 35th in hitting percentage.

A year ago, Kamp was named the MIAA’s Most Valuable Player. She was later named the Great Lakes Region Freshman of the Year and a Division III First Team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association of America.
