For the third time in her career, Calvin College sophomore Rebecca Kamp has been named MIAA Player of the Week in volleyball. A native of Orland Park, Illinois, Kamp was named to the all-tournament team at the Ohio Northern Invitational this past weekend as the 16th-ranked Knights posted a 3-1 record including a five-set win over eighth-ranked Southwestern (TX).

A graduate of Chicago Christian High School, Kamp recorded 75 kills and a hitting percentage of .389 in four matches at the Ohio Northern Invitational. Kamp, who was named the MIAA’s Most Valuable Player as a freshman last year, added 42 digs and 17 blocks for the tournament.

The Calvin volleyball team returns to action Tuesday night when it hosts Albion at 6:30 p.m. The contest will be the first-ever volleyball match inside the Van Noord Arena.
