Men’s Tennis Defeats Earlham College In Non-Conference Match

DAYTON, OH - The Calvin men’s tennis team improved to 5-4 overall with a 7-2 non-conference win over Earlham College Friday afternoon.
Calvin swept the three doubles points and then took four of the six singles points to gain the win.
Singles winners for Calvin included senior Andrew DeVlieger (No. 2 singles), sophomore Preston Philips (No. 4 singles), sophomore Jarrod Brower (No. 5 singles) and freshman Philip Reinken (No. 6 singles).
In doubles action, senior Roland Eldridge and Phillips were winners at No. 1 doubles, sophomore Brian DeMaagd and freshman Loukas Peterson at No. 2 doubles and DeVlieger and Reinken at No. 3 doubles.
Calvin will participate in a pair of non-conferences matches on Saturday as the Knights will take on Wittenberg University and Wabash College with both matches taking place in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
