MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Repeated lightning strikes have caused the cancellation of the MSOE men’s soccer match with Calvin. The game was called with just over 33 minutes remaining and the scored tied at 1-1. According to NCAA rules, the result and statistics will not count.

The match was the consolation contest for the Raider Invitational. The tournament is expected to resume with the championship game following the current lightning delay.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Calvin junior Travis Vegter was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Offensive player after scoring two goals in Friday’s game vs Loras. Vegter was also named to the all-tournament team and joined on the all-tournament team by freshman teammate Stephan Hooker (Hudsonville/Unity Christian HS).
