Men’s Soccer Falls at Kalamazoo 3-0

KALAMAZOO—The Calvin menís soccer team suffered its second consecutive defeat, falling 3-0 at Kalamazoo College Saturday afternoon. Kalamazoo scored a pair of goals in the opening 23 minutes and added an insurance goal in the opening minutes of the second half. Calvin outshot Kalamazoo 14-6 but could not dent the net.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jared Rushlau (Grandville/Grandville HS) had one save for Calvin in net.

Calvin now trails Hope by four points with just two games left to play in the MIAA schedule. Hope will be at Olivet on Wednesday while Calvin will travel to Trine. The two rivals will then face each other at Calvin next Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

The Knights are now 13-4-1 overall and 8-3-1 in the MIAA.
