Lizzie Kamp Named MIAA Player of the Week in Volleyball

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – For the second consecutive week, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Calvin outside hitter Lizzie Kamp its Player of the Week in volleyball for matches played through Sept. 15. Kamp, a senior from Orland Park, Ill. (Chicago Christian HS), earned Position Player of the Week honors for the second straight week by slamming a career-high 25 kills for a hitting percentage of .523 in leading the Knights to an MIAA win over Alma. She also averaged 4.4 kills per set and had a .330 hitting percentage in leading Calvin to a 3-1 record at the Wittenberg, Ohio, Fall Classic, including 16 kills in a four-set victory over the host Tigers in a battle of top-five nationally-ranked teams. Kamp is being honored as Player of the Week for fourth time in her career.
