Kamp Finishes as NCAA III Leader in Kills-Per-Set

Calvin College freshman Rebecca Kamp has added one more accomplishment to her list of post-season accomplishments. A native of Orland Park, Illinois, Kamp has finished as the NCAA III leader in kills-per-set with an average of 4.87 kills-per-set.
A graduate of Chicago Christian High School, Kamp also finished fourth in the final NCAA III statistics in hitting percentage (.400). and 18th nationally in blocks-per-set (1.26).
In her first year of collegiate play, Kamp was named the MIAA’s Most Valuable Player and MIAA’s Freshman of the Year while also landing a spot on the All-MIAA first team. She was also named to the Great Lakes All-Region team and was the Great Lakes Region Freshman of the Year. Finally, Kamp was named the Division III All-America first team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association of America and was named the AVCA Division III National Freshman of the Year.
In addition, junior Kelsey Sears (Traverse City/Traverse City West HS) was ranked 48th in the final NCAA III statistics in digs-per-set (5.22).
As a team, Calvin finished 21st nationally in assists-per-set (11.62), 12th in blocks-per-set (2.53) and 37th in kills-per-set (12.44).
