Justin Ahearne Named MIAA Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Calvin defender Justin Ahearne its MIAA Defensive Players of the Week in men’s soccer for games played through September 24. Ahearne, a senior from Hudsonville, anchored the Calvin defense as the Knights posted back-to-back shutouts to remain tied for first in the MIAA race. Ahearne’s efforts helped Calvin defeat Hope, 2-0, in a matchup of last year’s MIAA co-champions, and Kalamazoo 2-0. He is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
