Jordan Brink Named MIAA Co-Player of the Week in Men’s Basketball

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – For the first time in his collegiate career, Calvin guard Jordan Brink has received MIAA Player of the Week honors in men’s basketball. Brink shares the award this week with Kalamazoo forward Adam Peters for games played through February 1. Brink, a junior from Dyer, Ind. (Illiana Christian HS), averaged 21.5 points as the Knights won twice to move into sole possession of first place in the MIAA race. He scored 22 points in a 68-49 road win at Albion in a first-place showdown, then added 21 points and five assists in a 78-67 victory over Alma. Brink, who is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time this season and second time in his career, shot 48 percent from the field (12 of 25), 56 percent from 3-point range (5 of 9) and 93 percent from the line (14 of 15) for the week.
