Jill Thomas Named MIAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

For the first time in her career, Calvin guard Jill Thomas has been named MIAA Player of the Week in women’s basketball.
A senior from Grand Rapids (West Catholic HS), scored 13 points, including three 3-ponters, as she helped the Knights defeat Hope, 65-43, in the championship game of the MIAA tournament on Saturday.
Thomas also had four assists and three steals in a 78-50 tournament semifinal win over Saint Mary’s.
