Former Calvin Volleyball Standout Named To Grace Bible College Hall of Fame

The Lightning Bolt is headed to the Hall of Fame.

Calvinís associate director of communications and marketing Lynn Rosendale has been inducted into the Grace Bible College Hall of Fame for her years coaching volleyball. She coached at Grace from 1989-1993, leading the Tigers to regional championships and national tournaments in all five seasons. In 1991, Grace finished third at nationals, the highest in school history.

Rosendale is the all- time leader in match wins at Grace Bible with 71 and was twice named NCCAA Div. II Mid-East coach of the year.  She also led the team to 4 straight regional titles after her first year taking over.  In those finals Lynnís teams were 12-0.  In 1993 she was runner up for the NCCAA Div. II National Coach of the Year honors.

Rosendale will be inducted tomorrow as the first womenís team coach ever in the Grace Bible College Hall of Fame history.

With a nickname of “Lightning Bolt,” Rosendale í85 was the middle hitter on Calvinís volleyball team for four years, earning first team all-MIAA honors three times. In 1984, she was part of a Calvin volleyball team that finished fourth in the NCAA III Tournament.
