Chicago Rolls To Win Over Hanover in First Round of NCAA III Tournament

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich - The fifth-ranked Chicago Maroons used the sister tandem of Meghan and Mogan Herrick to roll to a 76-62 win over Hanover College in a first round NCAA III Tournament at Calvin’s Van Noord Arena Friday night.
Meghan Herrick exploded for a game-high 25 points on 10 of 14 shooting while sister Morgan Herrick had 13 points as Chicago led 44-27 at halftime and was never seriously threatened by Hanover (25-2). Junior center Taylor Simpson was also a force for Chicago with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Hanover was led by Molly Martin with 24 points and 11 rebounds while Torin Franz chipped in with 11 points.
Hanover shot just 26.1 percent from the floor including just 19 percent in the first half. Chicago shot 48 percent overall including 53 percent in the first half.
