Calvin Volleyball to Face University of Massachusetts Boston in National Quarterfinals

The field for the national quarterfinal round of the NCAA III Tournament at Hope College is set and the quarterfinal opponent for Calvin is a familiar foe. The Knights (32-1) will face the University of Massachusetts-Boston (24-15) on Thursday at 3 p.m. in a quarterfinal match at Hope’s DeVos Fieldhouse. The same two teams met in the 2010 national quarterfinals at Washington University with Calvin winning in four sets and continuing on to win the national championship. Other quarterfinal matches will pit Eastern University (32-4) against Emory University (33-4) at 12:30 p.m.; Cal-Lutheran (33-1) against Clarkson (36-6) at 5:30 p.m. and Hope (32-2) against UW-Stevens Point (34-4) at 8 p.m. Tickets for Thursday’s match will be on sale sale Monday morning at 11 a.m. at the Calvin Box Office in Calvin’s Covenant Fine Arts Center. General admission tickets are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students and children.
