Calvin Men’s Tennis Competes at West Michigan Indoor Doubles Tournament

The Calvin men’s tennis swung into action Friday night at the West Michigan Indoor Doubles Tournament hosted by Hope College at the DeWitt Tennis Center.

In the championship draw, senior Loukas Peterson and freshman Taylor Asfour finished sixth, posting a 1-2 record in the day.

In the varsity draw, senior John Strikwerda and sophomore Matt Buesing also took sixth place, recording a 1-2 record during the tournament.

In the challenger draw, senior Stephan Healy and junior Tom Griffin took fourth place, winning their opening match before dropping their next two.

The tandem of freshman Anthony Vroon and Jared Doezema also competed in the challenger draw and placed eighth.

Calvin’s next scheduled match is March 11 when the Knights host Cornerstone at the Huizenga Tennis and Track Center in a dual match at 6 p.m.
