Calvin Graduate Signs Professional Hockey Contract

Emery Lovse, a 2008 Calvin College graduate, has signed a professional hockey contract with the Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
The Cottonmouths are located in Columbus, Georgia.
A native of Grand Rapids and a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School, Lovse scored 17 goals and garnered 16 assists for a total of 33 points last year from his forward spot on the Calvin club hockey team.
His efforts helped the Knights finish 17-16 overall and reach the ACHA Division III National Tournament for the sixth consecutive year.
Over the last two seasons at Calvin, Lovse had recorded 56 points in 54 games.
