All-MIAA Men's Golf Teams

Calvin College junior Ben Kuiper has been named the MIAA’s Most Valuable Player in men’s golf. A native of Grand Rapids and a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School, Kuiper is just the second MIAA Most Valuable Player from Calvin in men’s golf and the first since 1965 when Lloyd Dozeman received the honor.

This past Saturday, Kuiper earned MIAA medalist honors by finishing on top of the MIAA individual standings with a season average of 74.6 strokes-per-round.

In addition, Kuiper has earned a spot on the All-MIAA first team. He is the second individual from his family to earn All-MIAA first team honors as his brother Jon Kuiper was a first team All-MIAA selection in 2009.

Calvin junior Dave Sarkipato has also been named to the All-MIAA second team. A native of Kalamazoo and a graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School, Sarkipato finished the season with a season average of 77.2 strokes-per-round.
