TUCSON, AZ - Calvin closed out its spring trip to Tucson with a dramatic 5-4 victory over Luther College. Junior Jack Jorgenson connected on a two-out walk-off single that plated junior Tyler Tos with the game-winning run.

Sophomore Cory Laster went the first four innings for the Knights on the mound while sophomore Steve VanderMolen, freshman Nate Schepers, sophomore Jeff Victor and senior Joe Lambers came on in relief with Lambers gaining the win.

Junior Ben Cok had a pair hits and scored two runs while Jorgenson was 3-for-4 with two runs batted in.

On Monday in a doubleheader delayed by weather conditions, Calvin dropped a pair of games to Wisconsin-Superior, falling 9-1 and 14-4

Calvin will carry a 5-5 overall record into MIAA play later this week. The Knights open up league play on Friday with a doubleheader at Trine scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
