Men’s Cross Country Teams Compete at Notre Invitational/Adrian Invitational

NOTRE DAME, IN/ADRIAN, MI – The 10th-ranked Calvin men’s cross country team placed 10th in the 8K Gold Division of the Notre Dame Invitational with 249 points. Top-ranked North Central (Division III) took first place with 46 points, edging third-ranked (Division II) Grand Valley State by six points for the win.
Calvin was paced by sophomore Nick Kramer (Dyer, IN/Illiana Christian HS) led the Knights with an 18th place time of 25:26. Kramer was seventh among Division III competitors in the race.
Women’s Golf Moves Into 5th Place In Overall MIAA Standings After 4th Place Finish at MIAA Jamboree

KALAMAZOO—With three 18-hole rounds left to play, the Calvin women’s golf team has moved into fifth place in the MIAA standings. The Knights moved past Albion and into fifth place in the overall league standings with a fourth place team score of 372 strokes at an MIAA Jamboree hosted by Kalamazoo Thursday afternoon at the Milham Park Golf Club. Calvin currently holds a 13-stroke lead over Albion for fifth place and trails fourth place Trine by 35 strokes. Faced with a course filled with sand traps and slick putting greens, the Knights were still able to place four golfers under 100 led by seniors Emily Tuuk (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) and Kelli Visser (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) with rounds of 91.
