GRAND RAPIDS – The Knights misfired on four straight 3-pointers in the final 37 seconds and their late-game comeback surge was halted, falling 60-57 to Olivet in their first home loss at the Van Noord Arena.

HOLLAND –The Knights snapped a four game losing streak to Hope with a 66-64 win Saturday before a sold-out crowd of 3,653 at DeVos Fieldhouse. Hope’s Jesse Reimink missed a potential game winner with five seconds remaining to give Calvin its sixth straight win and sole possession of first place in the MIAA.

GRAND RAPIDS – Calvin coach John Ross was hoping his team wouldn’t have to rely on Sarah Partridge’s last-second heroics to beat Adrian at home – again.
But after the Knights’ 14-point lead suddenly evaporated late in the second half, it was Partridge who provided a game-tying 3-pointer with 31 seconds left in regulation to force overtime, where Calvin outscored the Bulldogs 12-6 en route to a 72-66 victory at Van Noord Arena.
Erica Deur Shatters School Record On Three-Meter Board at U. of Chicago Invitational

CHICAGO, IL—Calvin College senior Erica Deur added another chapter in her storied collegiate diving career on Friday night, shattering her own school record on the three-meter board with a score of 505.55 points at the University of Chicago invitational. A graduate of Holland Christian High School, Deur eclipsed her previous school record of 485.20 points in the event. Her point total on Friday night was also a University of Chicago pool record.
Calvin Swimming and Diving Teams Hold First Practices Inside Venema Aquatic Center

The Calvin men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were able to hold their first-ever practices inside the Venema Aquatic Center Wednesday afternoon. The Knights are scheduled to host their first-ever dual meets inside the facility on January 24 when they host the Hope men’s and women’s swimmig and diving teams in MIAA dual meets.

ADRIAN—With a share of first place on the line in the MIAA standings, Calvin rose to the occasion with an 87-56 victory over the host Adrian Bulldogs Wednesday night. The Calvin victory sets up a first place showdown on Saturday at Hope as the two storied rivals both head into the contest at 3-0 in league play, one game ahead of 2-1 Adrian.
