For the first time in his career, Calvin College senior Peter Steiner has been named the MIAA’s Position Player of the Week in baseball. Steiner shares the award this week with Trine’s Zach Ebersole. Steiner, a senior from Chicago, Ill. (Glenbrook South HS), went 3-for-9 at the plate for a .333 average with six RBIs and four runs scored as the Knights swept a four-game series from Olivet. He delivered a game-winning two-run double on Friday in a 4-2 win over the Comets, then belted a two-run homer that was the difference the next day in a 3-2 victory.
