CHICAGO, IL—Over the past five years, Calvin’s trips to the University of Chicago have been unkind. In 2005, the Knights suffered a 4-0 defeat to the Maroons in the windy city and in 2007, the Knights were blanked by the same 4-0 score. On Tuesday afternoon, Chicago blanked the visiting Knights once again, this time by a 3-0 score.

In a rain-interrupted contest at Calvinís Zuidema soccer field, the Calvin women’s soccer team continued its unbeaten streak and prevailed in a 3-0 shut-out over the Madonna Crusaders Wednesday afternoon.
After trading opportunities in the early stages of the game, Carly Prins knocked a header into the top shelf of the goal to put Calvin up a score over the Crusaders of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Prinsí header came in the 17th minute on the receiving end of a driven Lauren Heyboer corner kick from the right wing. That goal was all the Knights would have needed, but they didnít stop there.
